Very good research on absinthe was questioned hallucinogenic properties. There are many subspecies of absinthe that are several highly toxic. Artemisia absinthium is the guy who used absinthe and deworm animals encounter insects in your garden and house, and the plant will be used by beetles for reproduction. This plant is very bitter, still feels like something that you do not want to install somewhere near the mouth.
Wormwood is a psychic stimulant. The effect of wormwood is narcotic, light anesthesia, giving a sense of calm and relaxation. In combination with alcohol or high doses can produce hallucinations. One common way is to use the tea to absinthe, but be careful, absinthe is toxic, if abused.
I am a botanist, and I use it occasionally. The main use as a liver tonic, to counteract the poor absorption and improve digestion. It's also a gentle, non-addictive laxative, and can be used to treat parasitic worms, but there is little reason to more conventional anti-worming medicine, because it is toxic to the nervous system in select high doses. There are better alternatives for these uses, however.
